Kelly Victorian-Style Outfit with Muff

To make this outfit I used a size 10 crochet cotton and a size 8 Boye steel hook. The "fur" trim is a fuzzy cotton yarn. Jacket has snap sewn in and the "pearl" buttons on front and back belt are decorative. Skirt has a "ribbed" waistband and slips on.
Jacket
Chain 27
Row 1: SC in second chain from hook and in each chain stitch across; chain 1 and turn. (26)
Row 2: SC in each stitch across; chain 1 and turn. (26)
Row 3: SC in first 5 stitches; chain 8; skip 3 stitches and then SC in each of next 10 stitches; chain 8; skip 3 stitches, SC in last 5 stitches; chain 1 and turn.(36)
Row 4: SC in all stitches and chains across.(36)
Row 5: SC in first 5 stitches ; SC next 2 stitches together (repeat 3 more times); SC next 10 stitches; SC next 2 stitches together (repeat 3 more times; SC last 5 stitches; break thread. . (28)
Turn work and working in foundation row attach with slip stitch, chain 3, dc in same stitch; 2 dc in each stitch across; chain 2 and turn. (52)
Dc in each stitch across, chain 2 and turn. (52)
Dc in each stitch across; break thread. (52)
Belt
Chain 10, SC in 2nd chain from hook, SC in each chain across, chain 1 and turn. (9)
Slip stitch in each stitch across and break thread.
Sleeves
Row 1: With right side facing, begin in middle of underarm attach thread with slip stitch and working evenly around sleeve opening make 3 SC, 1 HDC, 8 dc, 1 HDC, 3 SC and slip stitch in first SC; chain 1 and DO NOT TURN. (16)
Row 2: Repeat previous row. (16)
Row 3: 3 SC, 1 HDC, dc 2 together (4 times), 1 HDC, 3 SC, slip stitch in first SC; chain 1 and DO NOT TURN. (12)
Row 4: SC in each stitch around; join with slip stitch and break thread.
Skirt
Chain 4, sc in 2nd chain from hook, chain 1 and turn. (3)
Sc in each stitch across in front loop only, chain 1 and turn. (3)
Repeat for another 19 rows or as required to fit snugly around waist.
Place both ends together and slip stitch through both thicknesses.
Round 1: Do not break thread, turn work to side, ch 2 (counts as 1 dc) and make 43 more dc evenly around waistband. (44)
Round 2 - 7: Ch2, do not turn; dc in each stitch around , join with slip stitch in top of chain 2. (44)
Round 8: Ch2, do not turn; dc in each stitch around; join with slip stitch and break thread.
"Fur" Trim
Using a fuzzy white yarn to simulate fur-trim, work I row of HDC around collar; 2 HDC in each stitch around sleeve cuffs and bottom hem of skirt; (1 HDC in first stitch, 2 HDC in next stitch) repeat around hem of jacket.
Muff
Using fuzzy white cotton yarn, chain 14, join with slip stitch to form circle. **Dc in each stitch around, join with slip stitch, chain 2 DO NOT TURN.** Repeat From ** to ** 2 times. Make chain to desired length and attach to opposite side of muff with a slip stitch. Break thread.
